Don't Sell Yourself Short.

Aspire for GREATNESS.  We all have the potential to achieve the unimaginable so why do we keep selling ourselves short?!

I'm not sure if any of you have seen the Jim Carrey speech that's been floating all over FB, but it's truly amazing!  And the clip is only one minute.  I'm not going to quote anything he say's cause I want you all to see it,  but it has inspired me to write a blog based on following your dreams.  It's never too late.

(Here is the link by the way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfUoUfSxqDE)

We constantly sell ourselves short based on fear and the thoughts that we're not good enough or talented enough.  We give in to societies standards and never allow ourselves the chance to shine.  We are all born with gifts and hidden talents that, if nurtured and developed, could give rise to fantastic contributions to mankind (God knows we need this now more then ever).

This is a call to humanity.  Please stand up and rise above mediocrity and give yourselves the chance to shine.  You all deserve it whether you believe it or not.  And you don't have to believe it right now.  You can at least 'fake it till you make it'.  The divine lives inside each and everyone of us, which makes you part of divinity.  We were put on this earth and given this life to create.

You are all the creator's of your universe, use that as a launching pad.  Now,  live your life from love and give fear the back seat, Simonton Say's.

Till next time.

George

  1. It really does make you wonder why we are so hard on ourselves. I'm pretty sure mine was from a lifetime of teasing and bullying...you start thinking maybe everyone is right-maybe you are a freak or ugly or whatever. Then there is giving up on a dream because you just have to work to pay the bills and there is no time left to persue anything else. I wish I'd done things differently. I wish I'd traveled becuase I can't anymore due to disability. I wish I'd persued singing. I wish I'd had a child. Don't wait-go after your dream job or go to school for that major that everyone talked you out of.Life is too short to be miserable.

    1. Well said my dear! Always enjoy reading your responses to my blogs. If you have a passion you should try and pursue in any way you can. Even if it's as little as reading books on the subject. Take care for now. Love your friend, George

  2. My dearest George, talking about fear, I almost died of kidney disease at the age of 9( last rights and everything)! Well that led to a lifetime of fear....I ha agoraphobia for many years, meanwhile giving birth to 4 wonderful babies! The fear lasted all through those years and kept me from, doing the simplest of activities, such as shopping, going to the movies, church....there was nothing I could do I was in chains of fear! Thank the good LORD Iam well now, and the world is my oyster!!!!! I reach for the stars daily and find new and challenging things to accomplish....when that darn fear starts creeping back I remind myself just how far I have come! So yes, reach for the stars my friends and live each and everyday with thanksgiving, kindness and love for one another! Iam by no means done trying to better myself a age 65.....Iam the best 65 I can be! Love you George, keep the BL i vs coming!

  3. Beautifully stated, George. It's taken me 50+ years, but I'm weeding out the negative people in my life and surrounding myself by the ones who support me. Your weekly blog is such a ray of sunshine -- the positive reinforcement is so appreciated. Thanks so much -- it will make a difference in people's lives.
