Unconditional love.

Welcome back everyone!   I have to say, writing my weekly blog has become one of my favorite high points of the week.  Let's get started...

Can anyone tell me where pure unconditional love with absolutely no judgement usually comes from?…Anyone?..Our pets, of course.

I'm a dog person myself.  Working three jobs, which I love, can sometimes be very stressful.   People can be very mean and cunning.  The outside world as you all know can make you feel alone and isolated, but coming home to my doggie is the highlight of my day.

The more I am around these smart and intelligent animals, the more I am able to gain perspective in my life as a whole.   Dauphine is my latest angel, but there were three that came before her.  When my baby Joplyn (a pooley) passed it was very hard to replace her until Joplyn II and Colbert (named after one of my favorite french actresses, Claudette Colbert) came into my life.  These pooley's were my pride and joy.  They had a way of making all outside distractions go away and now the same goes for Dauphine.  She is so smart that the word "out" needs to spelled otherwise she knows and you do not want that.  This little poodle is no push over and her feistiness keeps me on my toes.  I am forever indebted to her for the unconditional love she shows me day in and day out.

We can learn a very valuable lesson from our pets.  That's non-judgement and the purest love possible.  Can we carry this same kind of love over to our fellow man?  I pray that we can.  Because God knows we need this now more then ever.

So, let's take a play from the animals book and be the best person to ourselves and others, Simonton Say's.

Till next time.

George

  1. I think that when you have that relationship with someone whether its friendship that is ever lasting or that someone in your life that has been with you since the very beginning, or 20 minutes ago, They know when your hurting & when you just need someone to be there. Whether its crying together, laughing together, & just being there, they are with you because they want to be there. I say the hardest thing in life is to be a living thing, who struggles, & overcome the obstacles that face them. Sometime we have to put a smile on our faces even if we hurt inside. It's hard to identify friends who are there for something, and those who are there to support you in anything you do. For me, I believe it's okay to pretend to be happy! When it comes to seeing one of my friends going through a rough time, I will be there every second of every chance I get at being there. Everyone needs a friend or someone. Like the Golden Girls theme song, "Thank You For Being A Friend". "The Biggest Gift Would Be From Me" "And The Card Attached Would Say, Thank You For Being A Friend". Someone who has seen you at your absolute worse time in your life & still standing is that unconditional friend that will stick by your side, no matter what. I like to put on a invisble mask and pretend to be a superhero. A wish I would like to happen if I had magical powers is for everyone to just be happy + see brighter days - TIMMY FENTY

  2. Once again, your blog is so accurate. I find it interesting when I was growing up, a lot of pets were "backyard" pets, and now, I think they play a much larger role in our lives, because of the unconditional love and joy they provide. I'm so glad that dogs and other animals are being appreciated for the contributions they make to our lives. I can't imagine my life without the love of animals.

  3. Oh, how I agree! I miss having a dog so much...I always had poodles (so,so smart) until my last..a senior Silky terrier I adoptted when he was 11 yrs. old. As soon as I saw his picture on-line I knew he was mine! All the way there I was falling in love and boy oh boy, did I fall hard!!! He was so special and sweet. He'd never had a teeth cleaning so when I took him he ended up losing some teeth which only made him cuter. He made it to 16 yrs and I really miss him. It's been about a year and I know I won't get another dog-it's just too expensive for me now but we were adopted by a cat who is oddly like a dog. She's smart and chatters rather than meows. And she talks...honestly! She says mama, Nancy, bow-wow, outside and a few more words. What a character! My heart will always be with dogs but a cat seems to have snuggled in there too!

    1. Your an angel and what a wonderful thing you did for that doggie. All animals deserve love and respect. Enjoy snuggling with your feline friend. :))

  4. When we retired to the country, we did not know how our half mini schnauzer-half terrier would adjust. She is such a dainty furry lap dog. And it turns out a huntress. She flushes out birds and small critters from the underbrush. Given a chance, she will run with the deer, try to join the coyotes invitation, and play with a fox. Our subdivision is on a working ranch with cattle roaming. We were on a walk, when a calf wanted to play. Mama cow growled and I took that as no. After we were home, I looked out the window and there was calf on our deck looking in. Dog barked, calf ran back to mom. End of play date! We have had a couple of other great dogs with huge hearts that I felt they were guardian angels sent to protect the family. Their lives were way to short.

  5. You are so right, George!! I notice it so much now on social media, magazines, etc. People seems to always be in attack mode, instead of looking for a positive, uplifting comment to make, they are critical, snarky or judgmental. I get exasperated and must move on before I engage in defending and my day gets stressful. I strive to keep all interactions on social media positive, uplifting and a blessing to others. I am sure I do not always accomplish it, but that is my intent. I just cannot understand why our society has become this way. We need to smile at each other. Open doors for others. Just one small kindness might make all of the difference for someone that is at the end of their rope.

Thank you for your thoughts, George. I love animals too. I only have one kitty. Being disabled, I am not able to walk dogs and if they jumped against a leash it could be very detrimental to my condition. I love having kitties. I speak their language and they all have separate and distinct personalities. I had one that did tricks...for treats, of course. She would shake, sit and lay down. She amazed everyone !! All of my friends still mention Monet.

I look forward to next time. Until then, let's smile at others until we get them smiling back!!

  6. George ~ Thank you, for your wonderful blog. As a single woman, I live with my Saluki, Juno and 4 little rescue dogs. Jingles and Tinkerbelle are my adorable blonde Pomeranians, while Poppy and Daisy Mae are my 2 little Chihuahuas. They have brought me through many emotionally challenging times, just as your dogs did, for you. They ARE my family. I love that you had Pooleys!! And, we all know how smart poodles are. Very much looking forward to your show, later tonight, on the Q. You always bring a sense of love, joy, and kindness into my life, through your shows. Not to mention that I am a major fan of your clothes. :) I have more than several pieces and always receive complements on them. Sending you love and big kisses!!! Will be watching you with our lovely Katia and Kate! God bless you, always, George. Best ~~ Catherine
